This concluding chapter aims to summarize and compare the findings of the case studies in the book and to place those findings into a comparative perspective. In light of my theory, I aim to assess the extent to which I find support for it in the cases examined—Spain, Germany, France, and Sweden—which are the countries in my typology, as summarized below.
