Stakeholders, Conformance Pressure, and Social Recovery
摘要
This chapter explores and evaluates the influential role of stakeholders in driving organizational conformance and recovery. It begins with an overview of modern stakeholder theory and characteristics and then uses diverse case studies to highlight the distinction between legal compliance, demanded by public authorities, and social conformance, expected by broader society. Stakeholders—including customers, employees, shareholders, communities, and regulators—are shown to influence corporate behavior by asserting their interests, thereby shaping both organizational actions and outcomes.
