Previous chapters in this book provided an overview of the global epidemiology of nutrition, determinants and risk factors associated with malnutrition, health sector and non-health sector interventions for improving nutrition status, and emerging challenges impacting nutrition, including conflict and climate change. This chapter summarises the content and proposes a way forward in improving nutritional status across the continuum of reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health. We discuss the delivery platforms and packages of care, cross-cutting strategies, health system strengthening, universal health coverage, and multisectoral collaboration as a way forward to deliver evidence-based interventions to those in most need.
