Gana
摘要
This chapter presents the migratory journey of Dr. Jelili “Gana” Adebiyi, an assistant professor of Sustainable Food Systems at Northern Michigan University. His commitment to advancing food security in his home country of Nigeria motivated him to live, study, and conduct research in Malaysia, Iowa, and finally Michigan. Gana reflects on raising his children in the Muslim faith in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and he reflects on the responsibilities that immigrants have towards advancing both their new home communities and the communities where they grew up.
