Securing and Authenticating Vedic Documents: A Blockchain-Based Approach
摘要
India has a vast history of culture and thousands of books have been written. It is essential to preserve these vedic manuscripts to maintain the integrity of ancient Indian literature as they offer great knowledge about life, Ayurveda and civilizations. Tampering and deterioration with time are the significant challenges in preserving these Vedic manuscripts; it is necessary to authenticate and safeguard these manuscripts. Conventional methods like manual and physical verification processes are ineffective in capturing any alterations, forgery, and copyright protection, which can not prevent tampering. This chapter proposes a blockchain technology-based framework to verify and validate vedic texts, which can enhance the digitized vedic manuscripts in further deformation from originality. Because blockchain technology has a distinct hash value to identify its content, it offers decentralization and a digital signature which ensures that any changes are promptly communicated. Access control of the vedic manuscripts is managed by carefully crafted smart contracts, allowing only those with permission to examine and verify the documents. With the blockchain's transparency, decentralization makes traceability and unambiguous ownership attribution feasible. The suggested framework incorporates smart contracts, text encryption, hashing and digitalization.
