Academic integrity networks are of value to everyone in the educational community, providing space for members to exchange ideas, discuss problems, and to be informed about changes within the academic integrity ecosystem. This chapter discusses the benefits of academic integrity networks, regarding one particular network, the London and South East Academic Integrity Network (LSEAIN). The chapter explores how LSEAIN was established in May 2021, how the network operates, and the strategies used to develop and promote the network, for which meetings operate under the Chatham House rule. The chapter also includes case studies of activities that LSEAIN members have been involved with, many of which would not have been possible without having the network as a meeting point. It considers examples involving the heavy involvement of members, including the authors themselves, with the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity and how members joined together to gain funding to work on improving inclusive academic integrity practice. Members benefit from the cross-discussions of both academic and professional services staff. They get to meet people from different disciplines and institutions who they might not otherwise have met. The regular LSEAIN meetings have allowed participants to consider emerging academic integrity issues, such as the use of online proctoring software during the COVID-19 years, and more recently, opportunities to respond with integrity to the widespread availability of generative AI. The chapter is intended to be useful to others looking to establish their own academic integrity networks.
