Feminism is a movement which advocates equal rights for women. It is not just confined to one right, but it has a wider perspective. This movement advocates for legal and judicial, maternity, social, and biological rights. Various waves of feminism came into being. The theory comes forward to understand the roles of gender and to conceptualize the interest of women in all kinds of professional and personal sphere. An approach to feminism constitutes different experiences collected from different women from different perspectives holding a gender based analysis. At the same time, Cyber-feminism is all-together a new concept. It refers to violence and injustice committed on women in social media. Therefore the basic objective of this chapter is to make an analysis of the feminism in general context and to understand how it is different from Cyber Feminism.
