Once clients reenter society and their community, supervision is often established for individuals on parole or probation, to monitor whether these clients can reintegrate safely. The GLM is a strengths-based approach that assists in this reintegration and is founded on human rights and human dignity. In this chapter, a specific social work perspective is taken to examine the application of the GLM in community services. The framework of Strength-Based Practice (SBP) (Simmons et al., 2016) is used to navigate through the three stages of the GLM: assessment, developing a GLP, and therapy. Through this perspective, various methods and good practices for implementing the GLM in outpatient services are explored, utilizing eight core principles: goal-oriented, strengths-oriented, context-oriented, hope-oriented, needs-oriented, therapeutic relationship, trauma-sensitive, and future-oriented.

摘要
