Good Lives Model of Rehabilitation
摘要
Strength-based approaches to correctional and forensic rehabilitation aim to equip individuals who have committed offenses to live personally meaningful and more prosocial lives. The Good Lives Model (GLM) is a prominent strength-based model which has influenced forensic and correctional practice internationally. In this chapter, the core values, basic theoretical assumptions, and practice implications of the Good Lives Model (GLM) are outlined. The twin values at the heart of the GLM are well-being enhancement and risk reduction, which guide all subsequent assessment, therapy, and post-release planning for individuals who have committed crimes.
