This chapter presents a role-play based on a case study of a client with substance dependence. Our experiences in the client role are described in detail, and relevant inner parts identified. We reflect on the role-play dialogue from a Gestalt-methodological perspective and establish links between practice and theory. Value squares are used to depict potential directions of development for the client. In addition, we offer links to further specialist literature. At the end, the insights gained are illustrated with a summary graphic.
