In this chapter we will introduce the particle number representation for fermions, which allows for a transparent formulation of many-body problems and takes care about the antisymmetry of the fermion wave function by simple (anti)-commutation relations. Furthermore, we give explicit expressions for one-body and two-body operators in particle number representation and calculate some characteristic examples.

摘要

In this chapter we will introduce the particle number representation for fermions, which allows for a transparent formulation of many-body problems and takes care about the antisymmetry of the fermion wave function by simple (anti)-commutation relations. Furthermore, we give explicit expressions for one-body and two-body operators in particle number representation and calculate some characteristic examples.
