US Foreign Policy Commentary in the Biden Era (2021–2024)
摘要
This chapter examines the FPC’s assessments of the Biden administration, by combining the gender analysis of the Obama chapter, the conflation of analytical concepts with ontological facts in the Trump chapter, and a postcolonial approach. In the Wild Realist discourse of the FPC, the problems of other states—especially non-western ones—are attributed to their place outside the US-led international system (itself a function of epistemological functions seen in gender/feminist theorizing). The threats faced by the US and western states are presented as universal threats to all states. The individual contexts of states are effaced and reduced to states either with or without agency, and as ordered or disordered.
