This chapter introduces the concept of Wild Realism as a means of differentiating the realism in the FPC from the theories used in academia. This concept is then situated in the book’s critical methodological approach. Intersectional gender and postcolonial approaches, as well as the constructedness of analytical concepts, are explained and posited as means to problematize and understand how the Wild Realism discourse functions.
