AI-driven digital and technological advancements have transformed the nature and paradigm of labour and its collective foundations. The nature of work and the working environment has been transformed due to the deepening of technology-intensive work culture. Digital work and digital workers are expanding on an enormous scale, while digital capitalism directly and indirectly influences various non-digital workplaces. This chapter explores the relevance of Marx and his conceptualization of class consciousness in the age of digital work. It seeks to expand the notion of digital class consciousness within the theoretical framework of Marx’s concept of class consciousness.
