Design Theory Qualities: Which Socio-Technical Design Theory is Most Sustainable, Responsible, and Explainable?
摘要
This paper is about socio-technical design qualities. Sustainable, responsible, and explainable design qualities are conceptualized by using previous Human Work Interaction Design (HWID) literature. The notion of design theory and four design theories are explained. Comparative ‘theorizing workshops’ followed by thematic analysis of the design theory qualities illustrate that the design theory shapes the design qualities. The discussion touches on the reciprocity of design theory and design solutions in relation to design qualities. The conclusion promotes HWID Relation Artefact Design as bringing the qualities discussed.
