This chapter will look at the prospects and challenges of e-learning platforms in promoting educational equity in the contemporary world. E-learning is rising to prominence since COVID-19 has struck the world with its global crisis, making most of the countries switch to online tools for education continuity. This study is of a qualitative nature, using descriptive and analytical approaches to determine the relationship between e-learning and educational equity. In doing so, the chapter will first provide a literature review to identify emerging trends, challenges, and gaps in the attainment of educational equity. The findings of the study will be used to draw insights on how e-learning platforms might enhance or retard educational equity. This study underscores the urgency of strategic interventions and proactive measures to bridge the digital divide with use of inclusive educational practices and policies directed explicitly toward providing equitable access to digital learning opportunities. The chapter concludes by putting forward actionable recommendations for enhancing inclusivity and fairness in the digital education landscape.
