Telemedicine and Social Welfare: Bridging the Gap Between Healthcare Accessibility and Affordability
摘要
Telemedicine greatly improves the access and affordability of healthcare, particularly for regions that have low infrastructure for medical facilities. The study reviews literature using qualitative research design descriptive and analytical review of existing literature to bring out patterns and themes of telemedicine application. Such gaps are visible in policy, strategy, and programmatic implementation, as barriers to realizing telemedicine's full potential, in facilitating improved patient outcomes plus financial efficiency through bridging healthcare gaps reducing system strains with early diagnosis and intervention. This study highlights the necessity for more research on the reconstruction of health systems for the integration of telemedicine, with a focus on cost-effective service delivery as well as patient satisfaction. The results will help realize more detailed interpretations on the contribution of telemedicine to social welfare and lay down a solid basis for policy orientation.
