Employees’ Rights in the Era of Digital Transformation: Economic and Legal Impacts of Unauthorized Job Abandonment
摘要
This research examines the effects of digital transformation on the rights of employees, concerning unauthorized job abandonment. It investigates the legal and regulatory dimensions of employees’ rights when departing from employment without prior notice, particularly in the context of recent technological advancements. Furthermore, the study aims to assess the economic implications of such actions for both employees and employers. Findings indicate that labor regulations uphold employees’ rights, including entitlements to end-of-service benefits and accrued dues; however, there are discrepancies in the legislation regarding the determination of compensation. Moreover, digital transformation may facilitate the acceleration of processes related to the calculation and assessment of compensation. The recommendations emphasize the necessity of harmonizing the legal frameworks for compensation estimation across laws, as well as improving legal awareness among both employees and employers regarding their rights and responsibilities in instances of job abandonment without notice.
