The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Performance of the Workforce in Traffic Department

The objective of this study is to assess the influence of digital transformation on workforce performance within the realm of Traffic Department. The effects of the independent variable were evaluated across four dimensions: digital operations, digital technologies, innovation, and digital leadership. The study's population included all levels of personnel in Traffic Department, comprising department heads, section heads, their assistants, and patrol officers, totaling 768 participants. To fulfill the study's aims, a questionnaire featuring 30 items was crafted and disseminated through simple random sampling, resulting in 284 valid responses suitable for analysis. Employing a descriptive analytical approach, various statistical tests were conducted to analyze the data and evaluate the hypotheses using the SPSS software. The findings indicated a statistically significant effect of the dimensions of digital transformation—digital operations, digital technologies, innovation, and digital leadership—on workforce performance, as perceived by employees in Traffic Department. Furthermore, the study highlights the necessity for periodic evaluations to determine the effectiveness of digital transformation by monitoring the actual performance of Traffic Department and its personnel, assessing the achievement of established objectives, leveraging feedback, and remaining attuned to advancements and evolving needs.
