Digital and Economic Factors in University Access: Sobel-Goodman Mediation Model
摘要
This research paper presents a comprehensive framework for analysing university enrolment chances and exploring the factors that mediate the relationship between socio-demographic attributes and admission opportunities. The Sobel-Goodman Mediation Tests, a robust statistical methodology, lie at the heart of this study, offering a novel approach to unravel the complex web of factors influencing university enrolment. In the research we used SEM Path model for analysis examining the factors influencing university enrolment and social conditions. The study investigates the relationships between endogenous variables, including “To get into university,” “Less corruption in 4 years,” and “Gap reach and poor reduced,” and a set of exogenous factors encompassing “Use social media,” “Telephone,” “Computer/laptop,” “Car,” “Motorcycle,” “Books,” “Internet access,” “Monthly income,” “Domestic poverty threshold,” “Satisfaction financial sit,” and “Satisfied with job. “The results reveal significant associations between certain exogenous variables and the endogenous outcomes. Specifically, we carried out a survey data by the EBRD's Life in Transition Survey (LITS) studies data from countries across our regions to capture information on quality of life and related indicators. Following this, the data was discussed in both descriptive and inferential statistics, Pearson pairwise correlation analysis, multivariate linear regression from scratch using OLS model, Path model with direct effect, indirect effect and total effect. After model outcomes post estimation analysis was performed on Stata 17.0. The overall process of current research is summarized by using only Uzbekistan prospective. The total effect of the predictor variable on the outcome variable (c) is also significant and positive. The proportion of total effect that is mediated is -0.000, which means that none of the mediators significantly contribute to the relationship between the predictor and outcome variables.
