User Experience (UX) workshops have widely used in design sprints. It is applied in varying settings to speed-up designing works, in meeting users’ desire for the purpose of uplifting user experience. As it has shown impacts in designing tasks, this study believes that it is also able to benefit teaching and learning practice, particularly for topics related to design and development. It has been rendered in teaching Human–Computer Interaction topics because such topic involves a lot of designing and development tasks. This paper aims at reporting how UX workshop has been applied in the initiative, and expressing the impacts of the technique on learners’ experience. As the beginning, card sorting is used. At the end of the semester, learners’ feedback was gathered. Results show that the learners’ are happy with the UX workshop.
