This study delves into the intricate dynamics among neuroticism, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence, with the primary aim of unveiling the mediating influence of neuroticism on the development of individuals’ spiritual and emotional capabilities. The research sample consisted of employees working in Indian companies located within the NCR region, utilizing standardized instruments for data collection. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS4. This study delves into four primary connections: firstly, the direct interrelation of spiritual and emotional intelligence; secondly, the correlation between spiritual intelligence and neuroticism; thirdly, the relationship between emotional intelligence and neuroticism; and finally, the role of neuroticism as a mediating factor in the dynamics of spiritual and emotional intelligence. All four hypotheses were substantiated by the study's findings. The implications of this research suggest that organizations can identify leaders who may benefit from targeted support in managing neurotic tendencies and enhancing their emotional and spiritual competencies. Additionally, human resources departments may consider integrating assessments of emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and neuroticism into their selection processes. While prior research has explored the realms of employees’ spiritual and emotional intelligence, this study adds a novel dimension by emphasizing the role of neuroticism in shaping these vital attributes.
