An Analysis of Factors Impacting Usage and Loyalty to Social Media in Malaysian Zakat Institutions

Islam accepts the use of technology in all aspects as long as it serves its purpose. In this age of globalization, information and communication technology is an effective tool that has a significant impact on people's lives. The goal of this research is to determine how the community perceives zakat institutions' use of social media platforms. This study also identified factors influencing the community's loyalty to Zakat's social media use. There are five factors to consider when using social media: brand loyalty, brand associations, brand image, brand awareness, and brand perceived quality. Questionnaires were distributed to a total of 1200 respondents from three regions: the Federal, Labuan, and Putrajaya regions. The study's findings revealed a high level of community perception and loyalty to the use of social media by zakat institutions, with an overall mean value of M = 3.54. While as many as 86.4% of factors influence community loyalty to using social media to obtain information, and so on. Thus, the study's findings can help zakat institutions increase customer loyalty and improve public perception of their social media.
