The dihedral hidden subgroup problem (DHSP) is one of the most important problems in the field of quantum algorithms. In this paper, we consider a special case of the DHSP where the oracle function hiding a subgroup is given by a group action, and present a quantum algorithm over dihedral groups of order a power of 2, which is efficient under a certain assumption.
