Other Ways to Tell a Story
摘要
Futurist and author of Future Shock, Alvin Toffler, was referenced earlier in this book. He envisioned a future where simulated environments would offer people opportunities for escape, entertainment, education, and even work. He foresaw the emergence of virtual realities where individuals could interact, explore, and experiment without the constraints of physical reality. He suggested that technological advancements would increasingly enable people to experience simulated realities that mimic or simulate aspects of the real world. We can now partner with artificial intelligence to develop stories with us. I am not suggesting we relinquish our creativity to an inanimate object, but rather we engage in human and machine interaction. This is not just about words and thoughts either. We can leverage any number of AI tools to develop images from our text as well. As the Threatcasting methodology captures nuanced narratives and plotlines that begin with “the person” we can leverage that data from participants into a number of compelling—intellectually and visually—formats.
