A comprehensive understanding of the auricle's anatomy is crucial for clinicians and surgeons performing periauricular procedures, especially otoplasty. This chapter traces the historical evolution of otoplasty techniques from the nineteenth century to modern minimally invasive approaches, highlighting key surgical advancements and their anatomical underpinnings. The external ear, or auricle, is described in detail, with emphasis on its complex cartilaginous framework, surface landmarks, vascular supply, lymphatic drainage, innervation, and muscular anatomy.
