Introduction
摘要
This chapter contains (1) introductory explanations on the relevance of studying humor in work and organizational psychology and what to expect from the book as a whole, as well as (2) an organizer for the reader, including short paragraphs on every topic. The core chapters cover the role of humor in teams, leadership, negotiations, learning, and health in the work context. Each chapter will conclude with a summary of the main findings, an outline of research gaps for future studies, and a discussion of practical implications for work and organizational psychology (e.g., consequences for employees and organizations). References for further reading will be provided at the end of the chapters. The appendix provides a collection of humor measures that are applicable in workplace contexts.
