Wireless Remote Control of Low-Cost Smart Devices Using Block-Programming Tools
摘要
This paper outlines the development of Facilino, a block programming tool designed for the remote control of low-cost smart devices based on ESP32 and Arduino, such as smart homes and robots, utilizing Bluetooth and WiFi (HTTP) within an educational context. Facilino uses Blockly, a library adapted to generate Arduino code from custom blocks. Additionally, this tool can be integrated with App Inventor to create apps for users with no coding experience. The paper presents preliminary findings from using Facilino in research, development, and academic activities at Santiago Apóstol School in Valencia, involving K-12 students at risk of social exclusion. These activities demonstrated the tool’s effectiveness in facilitating hands-on learning and increasing access to technology education for these students.
