This research paper examines the development of Cyberwarfare in cross domain combined arms warfighting. Cyberwarfare is now mature enough to manifest real cross-domain synergy created by cyberspace effects upon all domains of warfare as a force multiplier at the decisive point in time and space. This research paper examines the development of Cyberwarfare in combined arms warfighting to determine how the future of cyberspace could impact the domains of warfare paradigm. This question will be answered by first taking a historical perspective of cyber development, analyzing cyberspace’s interaction and capabilities with each of the domains of warfare, and then specifically examining cyberwarfare and spacewarfare as they currently exist. Any shift in the paradigm of strategic thought is slow to adopt to the realities of innovation, which is why militaries train to fight yesteryears wars. Cyberwarfare further compounds this predicament, as the technological advancements are compounding at an ever-increasing rate and without predictive precedence. Cyberwarfare is still in its infancy and will not fully mature until after Space-warfare fully matures. With the decentralized Internet of Thinks (IoT) becoming Internet-of-Everything devices seamlessly integrated into the cosmic ether of cyberspace, the domains of warfare are now impacted by the Cyber Domain as Internet-of-Battlefield-Devices (IoBD) becomes the construct of Cyberspace. This shift brings with it the advancement of Artificial Intelligence integrated within autonomous intelligent sensing devices for Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) across Land, Maritime, Air, Space, Human and Cyber Domains [16].
