Educational technological tools serve as support to substantiate the assimilation process inherent to the teaching-learning of students in the health area. In this sense, the present study aims to develop an application (APP) for mobile devices aiming to integrate knowledge of histology, anatomy, and imaging with the theme of the central nervous system. The study was divided into three phases: 1- selection of neuroanatomy, radiology and histology images in sagittal, axial and coronal sections, through the organization and ordering of the selected images; 2- development of the Instabrain® APP for smartphones and notebooks with integrated and interactive content linked to the study of anatomy, histology and radiology; 3- application of a validated Google Forms® questionnaire to 20 medical students based on the adapted Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (IMMS) (Human Research Ethics Committee approval nº 6316069). Among students, 65% reported it was extremely easy to operate the APP, 75% reported understanding the difference between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and radiography (X-ray). The study demonstrated that the use of digital technology tools for education in the health area facilitates the acquisition of knowledge.
