Lateral epicondylitis (LE), also known as tennis player's tendonitis, is a common musculoskeletal disorder that occurs due to excessive movement of the wrist extensor muscles, being a clinical problem characterized by injury and inflammation in the tendons of the muscles in the region of the lateral epicondyle. of the humerus. The objective of the study was to carry out an integrative review of the literature to create a proposal for a combined therapeutic approach for the treatment of LE. A search for articles was carried out on the PubMed, Lilacs and Google Scholar platforms. Included articles from the period 2008 to 2023, in Portuguese and English. The data were tabulated and analyzed descriptively, 30 studies were identified, 23 were excluded, and 7 were selected considering the inclusion criteria. The study showed that the use of the combined techniques of Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBM) and Therapeutic Ultrasound (US) together is still in its infancy, and there is still a gap in scientific production related to the topic. Treatment with Combined Therapies has been a therapeutic modality with positive responses to pain management and reduction of the inflammatory process and points to a safe approach for the treatment of LE.
