Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative condition that affects the central nervous system and causes a gradual decline in the capacity to control voluntary movements. The growing number of published studies in this field demonstrates the significant interest spiral analysis (SA) has received in PD diagnostic research. PD detection utilising SA has demonstrated superior outcomes in comparison to conventional methods employing tools such as clinical tests, laboratory tests, and imaging tests, due to its practicality and exceptional cost-effectiveness. This article seeks to carry out a bibliometric analysis of significant advancements in this field. To accomplish the objective of the study, we gathered and examined the research papers accessible in the PubMed database. Subsequently, we conducted a bibliometric analysis to identify the significant advancements in this field. We utilised Bibliometrix and RStudio software to generate visual representations of the bibliometric data. The findings demonstrate the consistent advancement of Parkinson’s disease diagnosis through the utilisation of spiral-based assessment methods over time, as well as a wide range of research conducted globally. Moreover, the data facilitated the observation of the progression and patterns of research over time related to this topic.
