Borodin. Science, Music, and the Eye

He was a successful scientist and physician, but his other great passion was music. Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin was a major Russian composer of the nineteenth century. His famous opera Prince Igor is considered as one of the most important historical national Russian operas. As a scientist, Borodin took part at the very first International Congress for Ophthalmologists in Brussels (B), September 13–16, 1857.
