Devices that use electricity generate a magnetic field. The very strong magnetic field of an MRI scanner can cause nystagmus and/or provoke symptoms of disequilibrium. There is no evidence that the very weak magnetic fields generated by small devices (such as a cellular telephone or a Bluetooth device) cause any auditory or vestibular symptoms.
