A mathematical model has been formed for calculating the elastic properties of a transversely isotropic fiber and an isotropic matrix based on the characteristics of a composite monolayer. The problem of choosing the parameters of materials is formulated as the problem of minimization of the objective function on a parallelepiped set of admissible solutions. Two methods of global optimization are applied for solution: sine–cosine method and gaining-sharing knowledge-based algorithm, both of which belong to metaheuristic group of optimization methods. The applied problem solution is obtained. The constituent’s properties of composite materials were found.
