Building an Ontology for Supporting Relationship Management with Future Employers of Students in Higher Education Institutions

The aim of this paper is to develop an ontology for maintaining relationships with future employers of students in higher education institutions to support their professional realization. The paper presents the development of an ontology called “StudentsAsProducts”, which aims to model the profiles of students and employers. The main goal is to improve the interaction between higher education institutions and employers, supporting the professional realization of students. Student profile and recruitment ontologies have been explored as tools for data structuring and process customization. Sample SPARQL queries are presented that demonstrate the usability of the ontology in various cases, such as participation in internships, student evaluation, and job offers. In conclusion, “StudentsАsProducts” has the potential to offer a new way for universities to prepare students for the labor market, providing good talent to businesses. The final task is to increase the quality of education, which will directly affect the quality of business.
