Implementation of a Border Gateway Protocol Network for a Contingency Plan in the Communication System of a FinTech
摘要
A contingency plan in an organization is key to ensuring that activities and businesses maintain continuity of service without putting integrity at risk. Therefore, many companies around the world adopt these measures as part of their organizational structure that allows them to implement plan B in case of any eventuality. Therefore, the objective of this research is to implement a BGP network as a contingency plan in the communications system of FinTech, which allows the company to maintain real-time communication and manage itself independently of Internet providers, thus achieving portability and control of Internet traffic. The PPDIOO methodology was used, which contains six (06) phases: prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize. To obtain the results, the questionnaire instrument was applied. To obtain research results, a satisfaction survey was administered to 29 users. First, the reliability of the instrument was measured using Cronbach’s Alpha, the result of which was 0.792, indicating good internal consistency. Next, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test was performed, the result of which was 0.001, indicating a non-normal distribution. Finally, the Wilcoxon test was applied, from which the ranges between the pretest and posttest data for the variable “contingency plan” were obtained. The Z-value statistic was −4.8263.68, indicating that the sample was outside the rejection zone with an asymptotic significance lower than the estimated error of 5%. In conclusion, the implementation of the BGP network improved the communication efficiency by allowing multiple routes for data transmission. This ensures that, in the event of a failure on one route, the network can automatically switch between alternative routes or links configured to maintain service continuity.
