Acoustic Characteristics of Eco-Concrete
摘要
This study evaluates the acoustic performance of seven eco-concrete recipes incorporating fly ash, recycled rubber (granules and powder), and polypropylene fibers. Acoustic absorption coefficients were measured using an impedance tube in accordance with the SREN ISO 10534:2001 standard, while Noise Reduction Coefficients (NRC) were calculated to assess overall performance. The influence of material composition and dosage on acoustic properties was evaluated, with results compared to a control product (plasterboard). Recipes incorporating rubber granules demonstrated notable sound absorption improvements, with R3 achieving an absorption coefficient of 23.4 dB at 1000 Hz. Polypropylene fibers enhanced uniform sound absorption across all frequencies, with R7 reaching 23.6 dB at 1000 Hz. Rubber powder provided balanced but slightly lower performance, likely due to reduced porosity. Recipes combining fibers and granules showed the best overall acoustic efficiency, consistently outperforming traditional concrete. These findings demonstrate that eco-concrete recipes using recycled materials effectively enhance noise reduction and sound insulation, offering a sustainable alternative for urban and noise-sensitive environments while addressing both environmental and acoustic challenges.
