SecBPMN2BC Online Editor: A Web-Based Tool for Designing Secure Business Processes on Blockchains
摘要
SecBPMN2BC has been proposed as a model-driven approach to support the execution of business processes that span multiple organizations on a blockchain. In particular, SecBPMN2BC allows one to formalize the security requirements that hold for process elements. Based on such requirements, SecBPMN2BC can identify which process elements would benefit from running on a blockchain and which ones would cause security violations if running on a blockchain. However, SecBPMN2BC offered limited tool support. In particular, it lacked an intuitive editor for visually creating and editing process models annotated with security requirements. The SecBPMN2BC Online Editor addresses this gap by offering a Web-based visual editor to support SecBPMN2BC. Users can create process models annotated with security requirements either from scratch or by importing existing BPMN models. They can also invoke algorithms to determine which process elements to deploy on a blockchain and to check for conflicting security requirements. The SecBPMN2BC Online Editor has been conceived and evaluated with industry partners using real-world case studies.
