One of the key issues that help to enhance the electrical power system’s efficiency is the issue of Optimal Power Flow (OPF) in terms of increasing the transmission lines’ capacity and reducing the high costs of generation fuel while maintaining system constraints like the voltage and power of generators and transformers to operate optimally under various operating conditions within acceptable limits. The OPF problem is addressed in the current study by adjusting the parameters of metaheuristic optimization algorithms. These algorithms are typically used to solve complex problems. These algorithms’ parameters directly impact the solution’s quality and outcome. The best outcome in this study is achieved using the optimal parameters. The objective function of the suggested approach, tested on a standard IEEE 30-bus system using PSO, is to minimize generation costs and transmission line losses. and after contrasting the results with a set of outcomes reported in the literature, the findings were intriguing.

摘要
