A Comparative Assessment of AI's Impact on Entrepreneurial Progress: Examining the Case of Western, Arab, and African Entrepreneurs

The rapid proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers transformative opportunities across industries, reshaping the way businesses operate and innovate. This research sought to explore the implications of AI adoption on entrepreneurial innovations in three distinct regions: Europe, Arab and Africa nations. Utilizing a qualitative approach, a focus group discussion was conducted via the Zoom teleconferencing platform. Each group comprises five entrepreneurs per region. Key findings revealed a varying degree of AI adoption and its consequent impact on entrepreneurial endeavors across the three regions. Europe displayed a more integrated approach towards AI, with businesses seamlessly incorporating AI-driven solutions, enhancing operational efficiencies and fostering a culture of innovation. In the Arab nations, while there was enthusiasm about AI's potential, entrepreneurs expressed concerns about the infrastructural challenges and the need for a more robust regulatory framework. Africa, on the other hand, presented a dual narrative: while some entrepreneurs leveraged AI for localized solutions, others felt the weight of resource constraints, emphasizing the need for more significant investments and education in AI technology. A common theme across all regions was the recognition of AI's potential to drive entrepreneurial innovation, albeit the degree and manner of its integration varied. Moreover, the need for a supportive ecosystem, characterized by relevant education, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructural support, was highlighted as crucial for harnessing the full potential of AI. This research underscores the transformative power of AI in the entrepreneurial landscape while emphasizing the contextual nuances of its adoption across different regions. By highlighting the challenges and opportunities associated with AI-driven entrepreneurship, this study aims to guide policymakers, investors, and educators in crafting strategies that foster a conducive environment for AI-enabled innovation.
