Various frameworks and models designed to assess and enhance social accountability are explored, including the WHO Social Accountability GRID, the Global Consensus for Social Accountability (GCSA), the Conceptualization, Production, Usability (CPU) Model, and the ASPIRE-to-Excellence Program. Each framework offers unique perspectives and methodologies for evaluating the effectiveness of medical schools in addressing community health needs, promoting equity, and ensuring quality education. The chapter highlights the importance of these frameworks in guiding institutions toward producing competent healthcare professionals who are equipped to meet societal needs, reduce health disparities, and contribute to a more equitable healthcare system.
