Child Friendly Village is villages that have service mechanisms to fulfill children’s rights. This can be interesting attraction to be thematic tourism village. One of the Villages that have the potential to be developed as a thematic village is Kendal, in the Lamongan district. This kampung has a unique tourism potential that is the development of Child Friendly Village and has excellent community participation. However, the development process is not yet optimally. The purpose of this research is to formulate the development concept so as Kendal Village should become a tourism destination. We proposed the community-based tourism approach being expected that the concept obtained could comply with the principles of sustainability. The first method used in this research is descriptive qualitative performed by observation and indepth-interview. Further, data obtained in the field were analyzed based on aspects of community-based tourism. The concept of area development for tourism was then formulated. The result of this research is a development concept proposal for the Kendal village that is based on community-based tourism.
