Identifying Infrastructure Needs for Sustainable Cultural Heritage Tourism Development in Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan, Indonesia

Malinau Regency, with its rich cultural heritage, has great potential to develop sustainable cultural tourism. This research aims to identify the needs of facilities and infrastructure needed for cultural heritage conservation through tourism development in Malinau Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with purposive sampling of 20 respondents from various circles. The results of the study show that the condition of tourism facilities and infrastructure in Malinau is quite good, but it needs to be improved in several aspects, such as public transportation accessibility, variety and quality of accommodation, as well as information and promotion regarding recreational and educational facilities. In addition, conservation support facilities need to be more socialized and improved in quality. This study recommends the improvement and improvement of tourism facilities and infrastructure in Malinau to support the conservation of cultural heritage and sustainable tourism development.
