The pier structure on the Puger coast, Jember Regency, has the potential to influence the dynamics of sedimentation that can impact the coastal environment. This article aims to identify and evaluate mitigation strategies that can be applied to reduce the negative impacts of pier structures on sedimentation in the area. Through a comprehensive literature review and field data analysis, this study found that sedimentation can be controlled through breakwater structures, optimizing pier design, and applying environmentally friendly technologies. In addition, community participation in coastal management and regular monitoring are also essential elements in an effective mitigation strategy. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for the government and stakeholders in planning and implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly pier structures on the Puger coast and other areas.
