This chapter analyzes the various Putinian visions of history, be they scientifically grounded or totally fantasized. All of these imagined and dreamed visions are driven by a sense of loss of national dignity and identity due to the wickedness of the Western world and are oriented toward restoring the strength of the state and the orthodoxy. Love for the country, trust in the Church, and faith in God are the main pillars that can restore the national and international reputation of the so-called “eternal” Orthodox Russia. In this perspective, Ukraine has no autonomy but is fully part of the Russian territory and spirit.
