Harnessing Artificial Intelligence in Oncology Palliative Care: Current Status, Challenges, and Recommendations with Reference to India
摘要
The role of artificial intelligence (AI) into oncology palliative care is to address the multifaceted challenges faced by healthcare systems. In the beginning, research provides an overview of cancer statistics in India, highlighting the preconceptions about palliative care and stressing its significance in improving the patient’s quality life. This research focuses to assess the status of oncology palliative care and identify gaps where AI can play a significant role in improving care quality. By exploring the applications of AI in managing the challenges in palliative care, this study investigates how AI can enhance symptom management, patient support, and resource allocation in oncology palliative care settings. Additionally, the research delves into identifying the current landscape of organizations in India that provide palliative care. The study also addresses the cultural, ethical, and technological aspects in implementing AI in oncology palliative care, focusing on patient privacy, data biases, and acceptance of AI-based solutions. Finally, the research develops actionable recommendations for integrating AI into India’s oncology palliative care, ensuring that AI complements and enhances traditional care models while respecting local cultural, ethical, and technological contexts. Through this comprehensive examination, the study strives to offer valuable vision into how the AI can be harnessed to improve the quality of palliative care in India.
