Modern wireless technology with the evolution of different wireless standards necessitated to design a novel antenna suitable for Wireless applications. In this connection, the micro strip antennas are considered to be the suitable structures for these operations as they are easy to fabricate, modify, compact, low cost and ease of integration of any microwave circuitry. Itis very much important to improve the gain as well as bandwidth to offer higher data rates over long distance. In this paper, a circularly polarized slotted micro-strip patch antenna for wide-band applications is proposed. The antenna structure is designed over FR-4 substrate with the dimensions of 20 × 20 × 1.6 mm3. An L shaped patch is inserted into a rectangular slotted structure to achieve the circular polarization. The antenna resonates at a frequency of 6.8 GHz with a gain of 9.7 dB over an impedance bandwidth of 1300 MHz.
