The condition of a hybrid city is essential to understand the logic of the synchronous assembly of its different components with different backgrounds. In its origins, it was the formation of an ecosystem between the natural and the social. Then it continued with the sense of heterogeneity coming from the population, activities, and the production of inequalities. And today there is the presence of two juxtaposed spaces: the physical-natural and the virtual-remote. In this fusion, the fourth industrial revolution has been decisive. For this to happen, it has required the formation of the Virtual Physical System of urban hybridity composed of sensors (transducers), platforms (applications), and information (digitalization). Hence, the hybrid city must be understood within a complex spatial system, where interaction is its basic rule.
