This study addresses risk management in the transition to continuous deployment at Stibo Systems, a company evolving as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider. The purpose is to identify risks associated with the newly adopted quarterly update policy, evaluate their impact, and propose mitigation strategies. Adopting a pragmatic case study approach, qualitative data from expert interviews and quantitative survey results inform the analysis. Using risk assessment frameworks such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), the study classifies risks into internal and external dimensions, highlighting issues like organizational misalignment and customer adaptation challenges. This research’s originality lies in applying established risk frameworks to a SaaS transition context. Key findings include identifying process inefficiencies and service disruptions during updates. The study provides actionable recommendations for enhancing organizational resilience and customer satisfaction, contributing to smoother SaaS adoption. These insights can guide similar transitions in the IT sector.
